It was predictable how it was going to end, but I was still sad that we are not going to see one of those great characters again. The final scenes was awesome, and again filled with impossible choices where no matter what someone gets hurt. Watching them unfold, and thinking about which approach to take or who to sacrifice was great. One of the greatest moments in the game is solving Riddler Puzzles. Although he is just there in the background of episode 1, I’m sure we will see a lot more of him later, but for now it’s all about the Riddler. It seems that most events are being manipulated by his hand and that he is not working alone. Joker is a fascinating character in the game, no-one knows anything about him yet, but there are hints that he is planning something big. However, I did owe him a favor for helping me escape Arkham in season 1 that I had to make good on.

John Doe(Joker) makes his comeback, and it’s not at all clear what he is up to. Understandably, you alienate people close to you and make friends in the most unusual places. Once again we have a few moral choices, a few unexpected outcomes and more heartbreaking moments for Bruce and Batman. This is great way to tell his story and it typically goes unused. Then the story moves back to Bruce, showing us his life as much as, or even more than, segments where he is Batman. They look to be the kind of people that you don’t want to get too close to. Telltale never had the strongest gameplay mechanics, but the story telling is where they excel.Īfter a brief encounter you are introduced to some new players in Gotham’s fight for peace and justice, the Agency. It seems that Telltale simplified the action sequences in favor of more story, which I think is the right move. With the current Batman comic arc being War of Jokes And Puzzles, it was perfect timing for Telltale to release the episode that is centered on the Riddler.įrom the start you are thrown into action, and shown just how psychotic the Riddler is with his sadistic puzzle traps.

I feel that the Riddler has great potential and he is underrated. I loved the fact that they made the Riddler an established villain rather than introducing him as a new foe. While Bruce Wayne is trying to rebuild his life and Batman is helping to keep Gotham safe, an old criminal mastermind returns.
